On April 3, 2024 at approximately 7:00 pm Moorhead Police Department Officers were dispatched to a report of a Robbery at a business in the 3200 block of Highway 10. A vehicle description was provided and relayed to responding officers.
Within minutes officers located the vehicle in the 1200 block of 20 Street South. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled Southbound. A Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) was used to immobilize the vehicle in the 2400 block of 20 Street South. Abraham Cozzi, a 52-year-old male with no permanent address, was taken into custody without further incident.
As the investigation ensued it was learned that the incident was a Theft and not a Robbery. Cozzi is being held at the Clay County Jail for Felony Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Misdemeanor Theft.
