Moorhead Parks and Recreation and River Keepers are excited to partner together once again this summer to offer Canoe and Kayak Rentals on the Red River! Vessels can be rented at the Hjemkomst Landing, 202 1st Ave N, starting Tuesday, June 1. Single and tandem kayaks, and canoes are available on a first come first serve basis for $10/hour. Rentals include paddles and life jackets.
Rental Hours:
Tuesdays: 5-8 pm
Saturdays: 11 am - 6 pm
Sundays: 12-6 pm
Make sure to also check out one of our River Paddling Excursions! These are leisurely paced group paddles with local experts sharing their knowledge of the Red River. Our dates for these include:
Wednesdays; 5:30-8:00 pm
June 16: History of the Red River, hosted by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County
July 21: Animals of the Red River, hosted by the Red River Zoo
August 4: History of the Red River, hosted by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County
August 18: Trees of the Red River, hosted by City of Moorhead Forestry Department
