Moorhead Police are investigating a reported home invasion that occurred at 3:40 a.m. in the 1100 block of Belsly Boulevard. Tenants in a third floor apartment reported that three unidentified Somalian males in their late teens or early 20's forced open their apartment door to gain entry. A young adult inside the apartment jumped from the balcony to the ground as the suspects were gaining entry into the apartment. One other juvenile remained inside the apartment and reported that he did not see any weapons prior to seeing the suspects flee without taking anything.
The resident that jumped from the balcony was transported to the Sanford hospital by FM Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries he sustained. Police are currently investigating to determine the motive and if there is a prior relationship between the parties. The investigations is on-going.
