On Friday, October 13, 2023, at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers were called to the 1900 block of 20 Street South for multiple reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his leg. The male reported being shot nearby by another male no longer on the scene.
Officers found evidence that the shooting occurred nearby, and a suspect has been identified; however, the investigation is still very active, and no one has been formally charged at this time. The investigation shows this was an isolated incident, and there is no known danger to the public.
