Moorhead Police Announce Promotions

The Moorhead Police Department’s recently appointed Police Chief Shannon Monroe announces the selection of his Command Staff. Tory Jacobson has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief. Tory has over 27 years of law enforcement experience with the Moorhead Police Department previously serving as Captain and the Public Information Officer. Deric Swenson has been promoted to the rank of Captain and will assume primary Public Information Officer duties. Deric has over 17 years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving as a Patrol Lieutenant.
