Urban Wilderness Excursion

A Greater Moorhead Days event

Join Moorhead Parks and Recreation and River Keepers for a leisurely group paddle with local experts sharing their knowledge of the Red River. All skill levels are welcome. The excursion begins at 1 pm with basics of canoeing, kayaking and safety. Arrive at Dike East Park at noon to check in and load onto the shuttle to reach our starting point at River Oaks Park.

This is a Greater Moorhead Days event hosted by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County. The Murie brothers were two of the most important naturalists and conservationists in American history. Retrace their canoe route and learn how these Moorhead kids helped keep America wild!

Pre-registration is required. Sign up today! Cost is $10/person; vessel rental is an additional $5/person. Vessels are rented on a first-come, first-served registration basis.
