Canoe and Kayak Excursion

History of the Red River

Join Moorhead Parks and Recreation and River Keepers for a leisurely group paddle with local experts sharing their knowledge of the Red River. All skill levels are welcome. The excursion begins at 6:00 pm with basics of canoeing, kayaking, and safety. If renting a vessel, please arrive around 5:30 pm to get checked in.

Ever wonder what Moorhead was like "growing up?" Join HCSCC on a riveting history lesson of downtown Moorhead that includes historic sites including the steamboat landing and remnants from the riverfront saloons.

Pre-registration is required, sign up today! Cost is $10/person, if needing to rent a vessel it is an additional $5/person. Vessels are rented on a first come, first serve based off of the registrations.
