On Saturday, December 18, at approximately 7:50 pm, the Moorhead Police Department and Moorhead Fire responded to the 4400 block of 13 Street South for a report of several individuals who were found deceased inside a home. Family members conducting a welfare check located the individuals and called 911. Upon arrival, first responders confirmed the death of several individuals.
The Moorhead Police Department, with the assistance of the Moorhead Fire Department, is investigating the unattended deaths. There are no signs of violence or forced entry. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Crime Scene Team has been contacted for assistance in processing the scene. At this time, there is no known threat to the public.
No further information will be able this weekend.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office assisted with the incident and calls for service within the City of Moorhead while officers were busy on the scene.
