Moorhead Police Officer Peter Poull Jr. was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday, October 17th, 1888 while attempting to apprehend a murder suspect. Officer Poull was laid to rest in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Moorhead. Unfortunately his gravestone, which has already been repaired on a prior occasion, broke in half. The Moorhead Police Officer's Federation has committed to donating 25% of the total cost for a new gravestone and is seeking donations for the remaining $800 expense.
