The City of Moorhead Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle, in connection with the ongoing shooting investigation that occurred in the 1100 block of 12 Street South on June 19, 2025.

The vehicle is a white 2010 Chrysler 300 with Minnesota license plates EJJ379. The vehicle has distinct red lettering on the upper portion of the rear window. The public should not approach the vehicle, instead contact local law enforcement with its last known location or direction of travel.

The department has developed a 17-year-old as the suspect. Due to Minnesota data restrictions, we are unable to publicly identify the juvenile. The firearm in this case has not been recovered. This was not a random event, and the parties involved knew each other. Because no one is in custody yet for this case, there is an unknown risk to public safety. 

The suspect was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the shooting. The department is looking to speak to the driver of this vehicle at the time of the incident. It is not believed that the vehicle owner is involved. The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Moorhead Police Department.
