On June 19, 2025, at 1146 AM the Moorhead Police Department responded to the 1100 block of 12 Street South for a reported drive by shooting. Officers arrived and located a 17-year-old victim, suffering from a serious gunshot wound. The juvenile was immediately transported to an area hospital and is undergoing surgery.
Initial information shows this is not a random act of violence. The suspect was seen fleeing the area in a white passenger vehicle. The suspect is believed to still be in possession of the firearm and is considered dangerous. Anyone with information on the suspects identity is asked to contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701-451-7660 and request to speak to a Moorhead Police Supervisor.
This is an active and developing incident. Further information will be provided, but at this time there is no other information to disclose.
