On May 5, 2025, the Moorhead Police Department made an arrest in connection with the shots fired call in the Romkey Park neighborhood. Suspect information was developed while detectives continued to investigate the original call.
A 16-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and is being held at the West Central Juvenile Center on preliminary charges of negligent discharge of a firearm in city limits. A search warrant was executed on a residence in relation to the investigation. The case remains active and there is no additional information to disclose. Additional charges are possible, and the case will be evaluated by the Clay County Attorneys Office.
