On May 5, 2025, just after midnight, Moorhead Police Officers responded to the 1000 block of 18 ½ Street South for reports of multiple gunshots. A vehicle was seen leaving the area directly after the shots were fired. That vehicle was later located and searched. An adult male was identified and is believed to have been present at the time the shots were fired.
No injuries were reported as a result of the shots fired. Several spent cartridge casings were recovered from the scene. The case remains active and there have been no arrests. The firearm used has not been recovered. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center and ask to speak to a Moorhead supervisor.
