On April 26, 2025, the City of Moorhead Police Department will be partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for the National Drug Take Back Event. This initiative allows community members to anonymously and safely discard unused or expired medication. Safe disposal can mitigate the chance medications are thrown away or flushed down the toilet, which can create potential safety and environmental hazards.
The event will be hosted at two separate locations this Saturday.
- Hornbacher’s on Main Avenue (101 11 Street South) from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM
- Hornbacher’s at Azool (950 40 Avenue South) from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM
Those unable to dispose of medication this weekend can utilize the drop off bin, located in the entryway of the Law Enforcement Center, at 911 11 Street North 24 hours a day.
The event and drop off bin are unable to accept needles or sharps.
