The Moorhead Police Department issued a Cass/Clay Emergency Alert requesting assistance trying to locate 60-year-old Kevin Linn Johnson. After the initial alert was sent out, Red River Dispatch received a tip from a concerned citizen that a male matching Johnson’s description was observed on foot, in the 600 block of 25 Street South in Fargo North Dakota. The Fargo Police Department located Johnson in this area around midnight.
Johnson was evaluated and later returned to the care facility. There is not believed to be any criminal activity leading up to, or during the roughly 6 hours Johnson was unaccounted for.
The Moorhead Police Department would like to thank the public for providing tips and other information that led to Johnson being located. The department was assisted by the Moorhead Fire Department, Clay County Sheriffs Office and the Fargo Police Department.
