Phase 1 of construction began on Monday, May 6 on project 24-A2-05 which affects 4 Ave N and 30 St N for Underground Utility and Street Improvements. This project will consist of full depth pavement replacement (30th Ave N from 2nd to 4th Ave N) and mill and overlay (4th Ave N from 28th to 30th St N) of the roadway, as well as curb & gutter replacement, sidewalk & ADA improvements, and underground utility improvements.
Note that Phase 1 DOES NOT include any work on the roadway, but rather will consist of concrete work only contained to curb and gutter, sidewalks, and driveways. Per the contractor’s schedule, this phase of work is anticipated to last for 3-4 weeks, dependent on weather and other coordination factors. Road work will follow later this summer.
Note that this project has been phased so that access will be maintained to all properties throughout the duration of the project – during both the concrete and road work phases. Construction hours will be between 7am and 7pm. Garbage and recycling collection will continue as normally scheduled during all phases of construction.
