On Sunday, May 14, 2023, at approximately 6:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 800 block of Center Avenue. There were several calls about a person throwing rocks at the business. Responding officers located the suspect and significant damage to the windows of the business.
From witness statements and evidence at the scene Kevin Wright, age 34, with no permanent address, was taken into custody after a physical altercation with officers. Wright is currently held at the Clay County Jail for several charges including Felony Criminal Damage to Property, Felony 4th Degree Assault, and Gross Misdemeanor Obstructing the Legal Process.
