Officers Respond to Aggravated Robbery Involving Firearm
On Thursday, January 13, 2021, at approximately 3:40 pm, officers were dispatched to Travel Mart, 725 North Highway 75 North, Moorhead, for a report of an attempted aggravated robbery. The adult male victim stated he was in his vehicle at the gas pumps when the suspect entered his passenger side, displayed a handgun, and ordered the victim out of the vehicle. The victim was able to leave and enter the store, where he and the clerk were able to lock the entrance. The suspect approached the door while displaying the gun but soon exited the area in a vehicle he had arrived in initially.
A short time later, officers located the suspect vehicle traveling away from the area. A felony stop was conducted, and four adults were detained. During the investigation, the primary suspect was identified and a handgun was located in the area of the vehicle where the suspect was sitting. Three of the four individuals were transported to the Clay County Correctional Facility. Long-form complaints will be forwarded to the Clay County Attorney's Office for the following charges:
Emmanuel Reynoza, age 28, no permanent address, Felony Second Degree Assault and Felony Aggravated Robbery.
Kyla Belgarde, age 25, Fargo, ND, Aiding and Abetting Felony Second Degree Assault and Aiding and Abetting Felony Aggravated Robbery.
Isaac Granados, Age 33, Chicago, IL, Felony Possession of Drugs.
All suspects are in custody, there is no danger to the public, and no one was injured during this incident. The Clay County Sheriff's Office assisted on this call.
