On Thursday, January 13, at approximately 8:50 am, members of the Moorhead Police Department and Clay County Sheriff's Office responded to the 3000 block of 18 Street South for a shooting report. The adult male victim stated he was shot at; however, he was not injured. During a quick initial investigation, the suspect's apartment was located in the same building where the shooting occurred. Officers found evidence that a shooting had happened within the building. Officers were able to contain the suspect's apartment and either evacuate neighboring apartments or have resident's shelter in place within the building. The situation was slowed down, and several individuals were called out of the apartment and detained.
At this time, several adult males and females are detained and being questioned by members of the Moorhead Police Department. No one has been formally charged. Investigators are still working on locating the firearm. No one was injured in this incident.
