Central Minnesota Credit Union (CMCU) is a member-owned financial cooperative that was chartered in 1939 under the philosophy of ‘people helping people.’ It was on July 1, 2012 that Central Minnesota Credit Union opened its doors in Moorhead after merging with Moorhead Federal Credit Union. It offers a complete line of financial services and currently serves over 50,000 members across Minnesota and North Dakota. There are no membership dues and you do not need to belong to a union in order to join. Most of the time you can become a member in less time than it may take you to watch the trailers at your local movie theatre. With the simple act of opening up a $5 share account, you are a member for life. CMCU membership is open to persons who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in the following Minnesota Counties of Becker, Benton, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Kandiyohi, Meeker, Morrison, Otter Tail, Pope, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Wadena, Wilkin, Wright; and the North Dakota Counties of Cass and Richland. Businesses and other legal entities which operate in these counties also qualify.
