Woman Arrested for Several Felony Violent Crimes

Kasondra Perez was taken into custody the evening of Friday, January 20, in Moorhead for crimes she committed during the early morning hours. Perez went to an acquaintance's residence in Moorhead, where she assaulted the acquaintance with a knife and attempted to light two victims on fire after spraying the victim with lighter fluid. The suspect later transported another victim to another different address in Moorhead, where the suspect sexually assaulted the victim before the victim could escape out a window.

Members of the Moorhead Police Department, Clay County Sheriff's Office, and the USMS High Plains Fugitive Task Force took the suspect into custody without incident.

Kasondra Perez was transported to the Clay County Correctional Facility, and a long-form complaint was requested for the following charges: 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 2nd Degree Assault, 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Kidnapping, Felony Domestic Strangulation, 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery, Threats of Violence, and 4th Degree Criminal Damage to Property.
