The new Clay County Resource Recovery Center at 3322 15 Ave N, Moorhead will open Monday, February 6.
This facility replaces the City of Moorhead Transfer Station, the Clay County Household Hazardous Waste Facility and the Clay County Electronics Recycling Facility in Moorhead. These facilities will permanently close Friday, February 3.
Combining these services into one location makes it easier for Clay County residents to efficiently dispose of hazardous waste and electronics. The location offers a drive-thru that protects customers from the elements.
Note: This location does NOT change curbside garbage and recycling pickup within Moorhead city limits.
The Resource Recovery Center will increase efficiency by removing undesirable material from the solid waste that is transported to the incinerator and the landfill. This allows Clay County to recover cleaner material to send to the energy facility.
Hours for the facility are:
- 8 am-4 pm, Monday-Friday
- First and third Saturdays each month from 8-11:30 am
