Do you know a person or organization that makes Moorhead a great place to live?
The MoorHeart award is an opportunity to recognize individuals/organizations that go above and beyond to demonstrate community within our City by their actions and service. A team of volunteers from city boards and commissions selects award recipients.
Winners represent a wide range of individuals and organizations in our community. In 2022, winners include:
• Artist and business owner Kim Jore
• Environmental advocates River Keepers
• Business advocacy group Moorhead Business Association
• Pollinator garden creators Eric Bailly and Amy Anderson
• Youth mental health program founders Lezlee Bertie and Amber Ferrie
• Non-profit founder and community activist Destiny Holiday
• Smile-bringer John Cunningham
• Community organizer Resilient Moorhead
The MoorHeart award is commemorated with a piece of art commissioned from Moorhead-based artist Karman Rheault especially for this purpose.
