Be a Hydrant Hero this winter!
Did you know that a fire can double in size every minute? It can take critical time for a firefighter to dig out a fire hydrant that is covered with ice or snow, which is why we are calling for your help. The City of Moorhead and the Moorhead Fire Department are looking for Hydrant Heroes to help keep our community fire hydrants clear of debris, ice, and snow. Please be a hydrant hero and adopt one of over 2,000 Moorhead hydrants by volunteering to keep it clear 3 feet in all directions and to the street this winter.
The Adopt-A-Hydrant program is a collaboration between Moorhead Public Service and the City of Moorhead Fire Department.
