TO PURCHASE A FLOOD BUYOUT HOUSE
In an effort to reuse the homes purchased by the City through its flood mitigation program which are in good condition, the City of Moorhead entered into an agreement with Recycle Homes LLC, a private house moving company. Recycle Homes LLC will remove as many of these homes as possible prior to the 2010 flood season. The houses will be staged to be sold on the edge of Moorhead at the NE corner of 8th Street and 46th Ave. S.
The houses are available for purchase by any person moving the houses into the City of Moorhead through June 30, 2010. After that time, the homes may be sold and relocated to any community. For homes to be permanently placed in Moorhead, a public hearing before the Moorhead Planning Commission is required. For homes being moved outside Moorhead city limits, please check with the local jurisdiction for any requirements they may have.

Public Input on the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund
|
|
Recently, the Minnesota State Arts Board and Minnesota's eleven regional arts councils completed a statewide series of public forums. The purpose was to collect input on how best to invest the new arts and cultural heritage funds that will become available this year. We are grateful to everyone who participated in these sessions; that input will be valuable to the board and councils as we move forward in our planning.
If you weren't able to participate in one of the forums, we want you to know that there is another way for you to provide input. Please take a few minutes to visit the Arts Board's Web site and share your thoughts by completing an online survey HERE.
The arts and cultural heritage fund is intended to support "arts, arts education and arts access and to preserve Minnesota's history and cultural heritage." The board and regional councils value public input and are eager to receive Minnesotans' suggestions on how best to invest these new funds.
Please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested.
