The City of Moorhead and Moorhead Power Plant Study Group will hold a Community Open House Wednesday, January 6th from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Moorhead Center Mall Fountain Area. The community is invited to provide reaction and comment on recommendations purposed by the Power Plant Study Group and recently presented to the Mayor and City Council. The Power Plant Study Group’s charge is to solicit broad-based community input regarding the reuse and redevelopment of the Moorhead Power Plant and adjacent publicly-owned land. The Power Plant Study Group is a group of citizens formed at the request of the City Council to collect and evaluate ideas for the future use of the Moorhead Power Plant site. Within the next year Moorhead Public Service will no longer use the power plant to generate electricity.
