How's the Weather?
People in Moorhead, Minnesota, enjoy a four-season climate-and
each season has its own appeal. Of course, if you're unsure of our
weather, you can say what we always do: "Stick around-it'll
change!"
Four-Season Pleasure
Our summers are sunny and warm, with an average rainfall of 16 inches.
Autumns are crisp and cool-peak leaf color time is usually the first
week in October. We're undaunted by winter, when activities continue
through shorter days, with an average high of 17 degrees. On-the-ground
snow depth averages less than six inches, while seasonal snowfall
averages 36 inches. Springs are regularly warm and sunny after March
and early April; the first 70-degree day usually falls around April
17.
