City Wide Beautification Program

Beautification Task Force
Responsibilities: Plant flowers and weed flowerbeds during the summer's season. The beautification sites include Burger King on Highway 10, Matson Field, Main Ave Bridge, and Davy/Memorial Park. All supplies are provided. Get to know a fun group!
Time: Saturday mornings during the summer.

Adopt-A-Park
Responsibilities: Adopt-A-Park is a public serivce program for volunteers to assist their community by picking up litter, planting flowers, and weeding flowerbeds in a Moorhead park. Volunteers may also choose to adapt a section of our street right-of-way or recreational trail system.
Time Commitment: Once in April or May, once in September or October.

Adopt-the-Red
Responsibilities: Adopt-the-Red is a program that promotes a litter-free river. This program is coordinated by Moorhead Parks and Recreation and River Keepers. There is over 5 miles of river bank along the Moorhead side of the Red River to be adopted.
Time Commitment: Once in April or May, once in September or October.

Adopt-A-Flowerbed
Responsibilities: Adopt-A-Flowerbed is a city-wide beautification program where volunteers can adopt flowerbeds at various park sign locations and sites throughout the city. Assist with planting flowers and weeding flowerbeds from spring to fall.
Time Commitment: June to Sepember.

City Wide Clean Up
Responsibilities: Pick up garbage along the roadside or in city parks in the spring.
Time Commitment: Hours may vary, one time group project in spring.
