With one of the highest percentages of church affiliation in the country, more than 75% of the residents of the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area belong to a church or synagogue. More than 80 churches and synagogues in the area represent most major religious faiths and denominations-including 67 Protestant churches, nine Catholic parishes and two Jewish synagogues. About 40% of church members here are Lutherans, with nearly the same number affiliated with the Catholic church. |
