Health care facilities in the Fargo-Moorhead area are considered the best between Minneapolis-St. Paul and the West Coast. Three hospitals-MeritCare, Innovis and the Veteran's Administration-provide more than 1,000 inpatient beds. Our metropolitan area also hosts three medical research facilities: Roger Maris Cancer Center, PRACS Institute for pharmaceutical research, and The Neuropsychological Institute. More than 400 physicians, working in 33 medical clinics and facilities, represent nearly all medical specialties. There are more than 90 dentists, 40 chiropractors and 20 optometrists in the region. |
