Education: A Lifetime of Learning

Whether you're a young student, a parent, or a college or graduate student of any age, you'll find that Moorhead's schools foster curiosity, accomplishment and lifelong learning!

Public Schools
Every student is challenged to grow in Moorhead's public schools, where each day more than 6,000 students learn and thrive. With enrollment placing it among the largest 10% of school districts in Minnesota, the Moorhead school district is best known for:

  • superior academic achievement

  • far-reaching extracurricular activities

  • efficiency in operating costs

Moorhead schools buzz with vitality and excitement, with dynamic curricula for every student-including both those who are gifted and those with special needs. Moorhead schools are all new or totally remodelled facilities, thanks to a $64 million investment completed in 2004. For information on Moorhead public schools, go to www.moorhead.k12.mn.us.

Private Schools
In addition to its great public school system, Moorhead offers St. Joseph's Catholic School (www.stjoesmhdschool.com) an elementary Catholic school, and Park Christian School (www.parkchristianschool.org), a K-12 interdenominational Christian school.
