  • In some flood events, there has been a need for property owners to plug drains. Will that be the case this year?
There have been a number of stormwater gates installed since 2009, and there is not currently a need to plug drains. You should, however, ensure that your sump pump is draining outside and not into the sanitary sewer.
  • Where should I direct a monetary donation to the flood effort?
The local chapter of the American Red Cross and Salvation Army are each supporting in our community's flood preparation efforts. You may consider a donation to either of them.
