FACILITY OPERATOR
THE CITY OF MOORHEAD is taking applications for a Facility Operator to perform intermediate technical work in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant; collecting samples; performing tests; monitoring and ensuring regulatory and permit requirements are met; evaluating and troubleshooting facility operations and maintenance; preparing and maintaining records and files on plant operations. Responds to sewer calls; participates in an on-call rotation providing first response to after-hour alarms or calls. Education/Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience working in a wastewater treatment facility. Special Requirements: Possession of an appropriate Driver’s License valid in the State of Minnesota. Possession of or ability to obtain a Minnesota Wastewater Treatment Facility Class C Operator Certificate within 3 years of hire. Wage: $15.96 hr - $20.76 hr.
