CONSTRUCTION/INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGER
|

THE CITY OF MOORHEAD is taking applications for a Construction Manager to perform difficult professional and administrative work in managing, directing, evaluating, and coordinating all construction-related activities for transportation and utility infrastructure projects; does related work as required. Performs field and office construction and infrastructure management work; directs a variety of activities associated with construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of City infrastructure; coordinates construction activities with contractors, testing firms, consultants, agencies, staff, other departments and the general public. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A 4-year degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering, with major course work in civil engineering, construction management, engineering technology or related field; considerable surveying, engineering, and/or construction experience; considerable experience with Computer-Aided-Design (CAD). Five years of experience in construction or engineering is preferred. Must possess a drivers license valid in the State of Minnesota (Class D). Possession of or ability to obtain the following MnDOT Certifications: Aggregate Production, Grading and Base 1 & 2, Bituminous Streets 1 & 2, Concrete Plant 1, Concrete Field 1 & 2, Signals & Lighting 1 & 2, and Bridge Inspection Team Leader.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

THE CITY OF MOORHEAD is taking applications for an Engineering Technician. Duties include routine and complex technical engineering related work for environmental, water, sewer, street and other public works projects and programs. Acts as a survey crew chief/assistant, project inspector and drafting technician. Strong computer skills, including computer-aided design and geographic information system software, are required.

SWIM INSTRUCTORS

LEARN TO SWIM INSTRUCTORS: Responsibilities include teaching (Red Cross) lessons to youth of all ages. Current WSI certification required and previous experience preferred. This position runs January 24, 2009 through April 4, 2009. Salary: $9.00-11.00 hr.
