Christina is a first time vendor at our Farmers Market this year and has greatly enjoyed meeting new community members each week. Originally from Dickinson, she has spent her adult life living in North Dakota and Minnesota. Each week Christina brings soy wax candles and soy wax melts to the market for individuals to enjoy, all of which are homemade, hand poured 100% soy wax candles. The creations are all her own but she does get assistance from time to time from her family. All of her products are made without any toxic ingredients and she uses premium fragrance oils that are infused with essential oils. Candles have been a big part of Christina’s life for as long as she can remember and believes them to be heartwarming gifts that can be used in celebration, memorial, prayer, meditation and more. Through these first few months of the Farmers Market, Christina has enjoyed seeing customers come back each week and hearing about their experiences with the candles. She’d be happy to match up everyone with a safe and healthy candle for themselves or someone they love. Ease of Being is not just her business name, but her all-encompassing mission in life!

There are many new faces at the Moorhead Farmers Market this year, and Anita and volunteers from Growing Together Community Gardens is one of them. With six gardens in Fargo, there is plenty of work for the Community Garden Team. Five of those gardens are worked by volunteers who share the bounty of harvest equally with the sixth garden used to sell produce to keep the program running without having to rely on donations. This group has been serving the community since 2006. That sixth garden will produce an assortment of vegetables that we will see at the Market throughout the rest of the season, starting with a lot of cucumbers! The list, though, is quite extensive with zucchini, beans, tomatoes, onions, peppers, corn, and more available as the season allows. Anita enjoys the Market location with the easy access and convenient location for customers to come do their shopping! Volunteers are always needed to help at the shared gardens and if you want more information write to: jackstomatoes@gmail.com
