	Become a Hydrant Hero! Adopt-A-Hydrant- click here! Did you know, a fire can double in size every minute? It can take critical time for a firefighter to dig out a fire hydrant, which is why we are calling for your help! The City of Moorhead and the Moorhead Fire Department are looking for Hydrant Heroes to help keep our community fire hydrants clear of debris, ice, and snow! Take some time and adopt one of over 2,000 Moorhead hydrants and volunteer to keep it clear 3 feet and to the street this winter! Make sure to post a selfie with your hydrant during our Frostival time frame of January 13-February 3 to be entered to win a special prize sponsored by Signature Home Technologies! SATURDAY- JANUARY 30
	Fun at the Frozen Fortress Hjemkomst Center 11:00 am -3:00 pm Embrace the "Cool of Winter" with a day of outdoor activities and events! Check out the MBA's Snow Sculpture Competition: "The Snow Must Go On!" There will be free cross country ski and snowshoe rentals, outdoor games, a sledding hill, and much more frosty fun! For more details on the MBA's Snow Sculpture Competition, click here! Sign up for one of our led activities, registration is free! A donation of gloves, hats, or other winter gear is encouraged to assist the Dorothy Day House. 11:00 AM: River Keepers Snowshoe Hike- Register Now! 12:00 PM: Snowga- Register Now! 1:00 PM: Dance Attack-Register Now! 2:00 PM: Mini Winter Survival Workshops with Nature of the North
	Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament Woodlawn Park 8:00 am - 2:00 pm No wimps, no whiners. This disc golf tournament takes place in the dead of winter to help bring awareness to hunger in America. Ice Bowl tournaments are held across the country to help raise funds for local food shelves and food-related charities. Since the tournament started in 1996, over $3.15 million has been raised for charities nationwide. A portion of your registration fee will be donated and we encourage you to bring non-perishable food items to the event to donate as well. Register Now! Participants age 16 + Cost: $30.00/person
SUNDAY- JANUARY 31
	Sleigh Rides M.B. Johnson Park 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Moorhead Parks and Recreation will be hosting sleigh rides through beautifully scenic M.B. Johnson Park. Frostival treats and refreshments will be available. Please call and reserve tickets for a certain time slot: 218.299.5296. Tickets will also be available on-site based off of capacity restrictions. Admission: $5 per person (children 2 and under free) Can't make it on the 31st! We will have a 2nd day of Sleigh Rides on February 6th!
TUESDAY- FEBRUARY 2
	Candlelight Trail Walk Viking Ship Park 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Take a scenic stroll around the Hjemkomst Center and Viking Ship Park as the trail gets lit with hundreds of luminaries and ends with a trip through the Community Light Tunnel! Stick around for a bonfire, food, and games. Don't forget to check out the MBA Snow Sculpture Competition and vote for your favorite creation! Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe rentals will be available, with Nature of the North on-site to assist with the demonstration and proper use of equipment!

SATURDAY- FEBRUARY 6
	Adult Coed Kickball Tournament M.B. Johnson Park 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Join us at M.B. Johnson Park for some outdoor Kickball! Slip and slide around the bases in this is round robin style tournament. Teams are guaranteed 3 games. Each team will receive participation t-shirts. Alcohol permits are available, contact the Recreation Office for more details: 218.299.5430. Register Now! Participants age 16+ Cost: $150/team
	Outdoor Gear Garage Sale Moorhead American Legion 10:00 am -2:00 pm Do you have functional gear lying around your house, shoved up in your attic, or hidden somewhere in your garage that you aren’t using? LET US HELP! Nature of the North, the Moorhead American Legion Post 21, and Frostival are teaming up to give the FM community an opportunity to buy, sell, and trade used gear/equipment! FREE to attend and FREE Registration to sell. We simply want to provide a space for you to make some money while also helping to grow your local outdoor community. This event will make it possible for people to access gear that they otherwise wouldn’t have, and allows for the possibility of learning a new hobby, or inspiration for a fun adventure! 	Bonfire Building Workshop Moorhead American Legion 5:00 pm -6:30 pm It’s time to take your fire building skills to the next level! Join Nature of the North (in-person or virtually) and learn how to properly and safely build a big ol’ backyard bonfire! From learning about local fire permitting, to structure, to maintenance, you’ll have everything you need to impress your family and friends this winter season! Once you are done, participants 21+ can stick around for hot jams, hot drinks, and all the s'more fixings. The Winner of the MBA Snow Sculpture Competition will also be announced! 	Keep me Cold in Moorhead Open Skate Cullen Hockey Center 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm The Moorhead Business Association is holding a FREE Open Skate for the entire family on the Sanford Rink at the Cullen Hockey Center. Special Thanks to the Scott Tolbolt Foundation for the FREE Skate rentals.

SATURDAY- FEBRUARY 13
	Adult Coed Broomball Tournament Location: TBD 8:00 am - 8:00 pm New this year! Gather your teams and hit the ice with our inaugural Broomball Tournament! This round robin style tournament offers a 3 game guarantee. Each team will receive participant t-shirts. Register Now! Participants age 16+ Cost: $250.00/team
	Winter Trails Day M.B. Johnson Park 10:00 am - 3:00 pm If you haven’t been to MB Johnson before, or tried any of our popular local outdoor winter activities, then this is the event for you! Free rentals will be available and there’s plenty of trails for us to share. Come enjoy winter with us! We’ll have a variety of outdoor enthusiasts joining us to provide clinics for snowshoeing, xc skiing, and ski shoeing throughout the day. Clinics will be held at 10am, Noon, and 1pm. Registration will be required for the clinics to ensure we are able to maintain safe social distancing protocols. To sign-up for the free clinics, use EVENTBRITE and choose the time and activity you’d like to try! Drop-in’s will be welcome if all of the reservation slots haven’t been filled. 	Winter Wonderland EHP Performance 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Spend your day with EHP Performance and enjoy a kids obstacle course, human dog sled races, kids sled pull contest, dog vest contest, photo booth contest for kids, hot chocolate, smores, outdoor fire, heating lamps, snowmobile rides, sauna, outdoor bowling, hammerschlagen and more! 	Winter Overnight Camping M.B. Johnson Park 5:00 pm - 10:00 am Enjoy an overnight winter camping trip right here in Moorhead with the Nature of the North crew. Head on over to M.B. Johnson park for an evening of snowshoeing, ski-shoeing, xc skiing, warm fires, good friends, and a heck of a lot of fun! Our team will help folks set up their tents and get settled in. Then, we’ll lead a variety of mini-adventures including a night hike through the trails! Register now before spots fill up! Cost is $50/person.
