Load Restrictions

There are posted load limits on City streets in new subdivisions. In addition, Clay County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation places restrictions on roadways within the City of Moorhead that are under their jurisdiction. Those roadways and their restrictions are listed below.

Spring Axle Load Restrictions

7-Ton Restrictions
11th St. No. From Center Ave. To Caddy Ave.
15th Ave. No. From 11th St. to Trunk Highway 75 North.

9-Ton Restrictions
11th St. No. (County Road 3) from County road 18 to North City Limits.

10-Ton Restrictions
21st St. So. From T.H. 10 to Main Ave. S.E.
11th St. No. From Caddy Ave. To County Road 18.
County Road 18 from 11th St. to T.H. 75 No.
Over Dimensional

The City of Moorhead requires the DOT or County permit to be faxed to 299-5399 for evaluation of the proposed route to the construction destination.

The permit will be signed by the City of Moorhead and faxed to the applicant with approved or a revised route if needed.
