The City of Moorhead maintains two Fire Stations staffed with thirty full-time professional firefighters. This allows for quick responses to any type of emergency with an average response rate of two to four minutes.

Reciprocal agreements with neighboring communities provide up to an additional seventy firefighters with access to pumper or aerial trucks in the event of a major fire.

The Fire Stations provide free blood pressure checks, fire safety information and free home fire safety inspections at:

1120 First Avenue North (Main Station)
2413 20th Street South (Southside Station)

Moorhead has also been named the Northwestern Minnesota Regional Hazardous Material Team. This region covers twenty-two counties in northwest Minnesota. The Fire Department's up-to-date training in fire fighting, hazardous materials, rescue methods and medical assistance are vital to providing quality service to residents.

The Moorhead Fire Department maintains a site that has up to date news and other information. Check out www.moorheadfire.com.
