Practice for an Emergency During Emergency Preparedness Month
Thinking about emergencies is not enough. Create a plan and practice it so everyone will know how to react and survive an emergency. Here are some things you can do this week:
- Prepare for emergencies by following local officials like police, fire, and emergency managers on social media for updates.

- Know your community’s evacuation routes and practice following them in case of an emergency.
