On Wednesday, April 23rd 2014 at 3:30 p.m. the Moorhead Police Department will host an award ceremony in the Clay County Courthouse 3rd floor board room , 807 North 11th Street, to recognize several officers for their outstanding performance of duties.
On February 22nd, 2014 Officers responded to the 34th street bridge in reference to a suicidal male who was threatening to jump. A male was observed positioned on the ledge on the outside of the bridge railing and was verbalizing his intent to jump. The officers that responded and took control of this scene undoubtedly saved this man’s life.
The Moorhead Police Department continues to be an active partner with the Department of Public Safety and participation with the “Click It or Tick It” and “TZD” – Toward Zero Deaths DUI enforcement programs. A first ever given “special presentation award” will be made to Officer Mike Fildes for outstanding TZD Performance.
A reception with light refreshments will follow the awards presentation. Please join us in recognizing the outstanding performance of these officers.
