On Monday, September 13, 2021, law enforcement officers from the Rochester Police Department, The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension took Idris Haji-Mohamed into custody without incident in Rochester, MN. He is currently held on Felony 2nd Degree Murder charges in the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center, awaiting extradition to the Clay County Correctional Facility.
The investigation is still very active. The relationship between the suspect and victim is unknown; however, we believe this was not a random act of violence. No further information is available.
