On 7/22/2021 at approximately 02:53 AM an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for no head-lights in the area of 17th Street and 12th Avenue South. The vehicle fled from the officer north on 17th Street before striking the curb and boulevard signage in the 600 block of 17th Street disabling it. Three occupants fled from the vehicle on foot and were not apprehended. A Moorhead K9 unit assisted in the area but no track was attempted. The vehicle involved in this incident was reported stolen by the owner a short time later. This incident is still under investigation to identify the occupants of the vehicle.
