12 Ave S between 20 St and SE Main Ave has re-opened
Good news for south Moorhead travelers: 12 Ave S between 20 St and SE Main Ave has re-opened.
While the road has re-opened, the work on this stretch is not completely finished. Because of some complicated right-of-way approvals, improvements across the railroad tracks will not be done until 2022. This includes the construction of the shared-use path. For now, the road across the railroad tracks will be signed and striped as a signed shared roadway, so bikes and cars will continue to have to share the road between 20 St and 23 St until the railroad crossing work is done next year. Remaining work will be scheduled only after the SE Main underpass opens.
But until then, enjoy another open route through Moorhead!
