Moorhead Police Investigating Hate Related Graffiti

On April 25, 2021, at approximately 5:20 am, officers were dispatched to the Moorhead Fargo Islamic Center Mosque, located at 2215 12 Avenue South, to report vandalism to the building. Officers found hate messages directed towards the Islamic faith, and their followers spray-painted several areas of the building's exterior.

Video surveillance from the building captured images of a suspect wearing a camouflage jacket and dark ski mask.

The Moorhead Police Department Patrol and Investigative units are being assisted by the Fargo Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The investigation is very active at this time. The Moorhead Police will provide updates when available. Comments from the City Manager's and Moorhead's elected officials are coordinated through the City of Moorhead Office of Government Affairs.
