Moorhead Parks and Recreation will once again partner with River Keepers on canoe and kayak rentals at the Hjemkomst Landing, 202 1st Ave N. The first day of rentals will be Tuesday, June 2nd. Single and tandem kayaks, and canoes are available on a first come first serve basis for $10/hour. Rentals include paddles and life jackets, but we encourage individuals to provide their own life jacket.

 Rental Hours:
Tuesdays: 5-8 pm
Saturdays: 11am-6pm

Rentals are permitted under Governor Walz's Executive Order 20-56: View Here. We ask all renters to follow the guidelines set out to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

• Do not rent vessels if you are ill or have been in contact with somebody who has tested positive for COVID-19.
• Sanitize your hands before and after use.
• Check or Credit/Debit cards only. No Cash will be accepted at this time.
• One person allowed at Rental Shack at a time.
• One person per vessel unless from the same household.
• Only one family on the landing and floating dock at a time.
• If possible, please provide your own life jacket.
