Upcoming Public Meeting - Wild Turkey Management Plan

Post Date:12/11/2019 8:00 am

On Wednesday January 8, 2020, City officials will facilitate an open community discussion to solicit input toward the development of a comprehensive wild turkey management plan. This public forum will take place at 7 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 500 Center Avenue.

The flocking of wild turkeys within the city often generates conversations about what city officials should or shouldn’t consider to do about wild turkeys. The purpose of this community meeting will be to solicit information and hear from community stakeholders as to what they would like to see considered in a comprehensive wild turkey management plan.

Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be present to answer your questions. We invite and encourage anyone with an interest or questions to join the discussion.

Prior inquiry for the event can be made to Deputy Police Chief Tory Jacobson at 218.299.5117.
