Traffic Alert: 3 St Underpass Closed due to High Water

The 3 St underpass was closed early this morning due to the elevated Red River level. This morning’s river level is 22.1 feet. A crest of 22.5 feet is predicted between Tuesday and Thursday. The City of Moorhead is monitoring gates and pump stations throughout the City and has activated the gate and pump station that prevents the river from backing into the 1 Ave N underpass. This will not impact traffic on 1 Ave N.

It may be necessary to close the road to Gooseberry Park. No other road closures are anticipated at this time. The 3 St underpass will reopen once the river recedes and it is safe to do so.
