Armed Robbery in South Moorhead

On October 10, 2019, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Moorhead officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of 9th Avenue south for a report of a robbery. The victims informed officers that they were meeting up with the suspect to purchase a gaming system when the suspect took their money and pulled out a knife. The victims fled from the scene and were not injured. The suspect remained in the area and was quickly taken into custody by officers without incident.
The suspect was identified as John Sargent (34). Sargent was booked into the Clay County Jail on charges of First Degree Aggravated Robbery.
