NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED ASSESSMENTS
19-A2-2 Mill & Overlay/Street Improvements-Center Ave
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Moorhead, Minnesota will meet in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 5:45 p.m. on March 25, 2019 to consider Eng. Project. No. 19-A2-2, consisting of Mill & Overlay and Street Improvements on Center Ave between the Red River and 8th St. The estimated cost of the improvements is $2,000,000.
You are further notified that it is proposed to make these improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.011 through 429.111, as amended. The area proposed to be assessed for the improvements includes all properties abutting and within the following area:
All properties abutting Center Ave between 3rd St N and 8th St N together with all properties located within the area bounded by the following line: beginning at Center Ave and 3rd St, south along 3rd St to the BNSF railroad tracks, then east along the railroad tracks to 8th St, then north along 8th St to 1st Ave N, then westerly along 1st Ave N to 3rd St, then southerly along 3rd St to the point of beginning at Center Ave; except that The Fourth Street North Owners Association Condominium, located on the corner of 1st Ave N and 3rd St, shall be excluded from the above-described area.
A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting. Written or oral objections will be heard and considered at said hearing. Please contact the City of Moorhead, City Clerk’s office (299-5304) if auxiliary aids or services are required (ten hours’ notice is required).
