The City of Moorhead (City) received notice of criminal charges filed in State of North Dakota, Cass County District Court against Matthew Lambert. Because the incident underlying the charges occurred in Fargo, North Dakota, the City of Fargo Police Department and Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office are the local law enforcement and prosecutorial authorities handling all components of the matter. Accordingly, the City has no specific comment on that matter. If you have any questions related to the matter, you should contact the City of Fargo Police Department or Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Related to Matthew Lambert as a City employee, Matthew Lambert is employed as a Police Officer with the City. He has been a Police Officer since April 2012. There is currently a complaint against Officer Lambert. The City is considering the appropriate course of action. Officer Lambert is currently on paid leave from employment with the City.

The City takes any complaints about its police officers seriously and takes any appropriate actions to resolve such concerns. Due to data privacy laws, the City cannot share any other information, at this point, related to this matter.
